This course will present a range of philosophical issues, including the existence of God, the nature of morality, the possibility of knowledge, and what it means to live a good life. In doing so, we will gain insight into philosophical methodology. We will develop skills in making and organizing arguments, clarity in thinking and writing, and interacting with philosophical positions.

TEXT: Philosophical Problems: An Annotated Anthology, Laurence Bonjour and Ann Baker.

Catalog Description: 
Major philosophical questions relating to such matters as the existence of God, the foundations of knowledge, the nature of reality, and the nature of morality. Approach may be either historical or topical. Offered: AWSpS.
