Syllabus Description (from Canvas):

An introduction to moral reasoning in applied contexts. The main aim of this course is to practice philosophically engaging with ethicists writing on pressing contemporary moral problems. Topics include abortion, climate change, famine relief, race and racism,  animal rights, among others. Readings available online; no textbook required. Due to heavy summer grading workloads, enrollment is capped at 25 students.

Catalog Description:
Philosophical consideration of some of the main moral problems of modern society and civilization, such as abortion, euthanasia, war, and capital punishment. Topics vary.
