Make an Appointment

In response to the COVID-19 virus situation, all undergraduate advising appointments will be offered via Zoom until campus resumes normal operations. Zoom is available to all UW students free of charge. Be sure to download the software ahead of your appointment if don't already have it installed on your laptop or phone.

You can make an appointment with the undergraduate adviser, Gina Gould, using our online scheduling calendar. Gina will email you a link before your Zoom appointment.

Please contact Gina directly at if you need to make alternative arrangements for advising.

Drop-in Advising

The Autumn schedule for undergraduate advising is MTThF 9:30-3:30. If you have a quick question or immediate concern, you can “drop by” Gina’s personal zoom meeting room:

Expect a short delay while zoom notifies Gina that you are waiting. If you have waited more than 10 minutes, Gina is unavailable. You can: 1) check back at another time; 2) schedule an appointment for tomorrow or later, or 3) email for possible same day availability.

You may also email your questions directly to Gina at

Declaring The Major

Students who have completed 10 credits of Philosophy and have a 2.00 cumulative GPA may declare the major at anytime. Simply make an appointment with the department’s adviser, as described above.

During the suspension of in-person class meetings, all in-person graduate advising is suspended as well. We continue to be available via email for questions or to set up an advising meeting via Zoom.

Please contact Graduate Program Coordinator, Colin Marshall (, or Graduate Program Adviser, Britta Anson ( for assistance with questions you may have.
