Cosmopolitan Rights and Responsibilities International Conference

The International Conference on "Cosmopolitan Rights and Responsibilities" will be held on May 11 and 12, 2012.

The tri-campus Human Interactions and Normative Innovation Research Cluster at the University of Washington, in cooperation with the Cluster of Excellence on the Formation of Normative Orders at the Goethe University in Frankfurt, Germany will be holding a conference on "Cosmopolitan Rights and Responsibilities." The conference will take place on Friday and Saturday, May 11-12, 2012 and is being co-sponsored by the Program on Values in Society, UW Tacoma, the Walter Chapin Simpson Center for the Humanities, and the Department of Philosophy.

The conference's keynote speakers will be Cristina Lafont, Wender-Lewis Professor of Philosophy, Northwestern Universityand Matthias Lutz-Bachmann, Vice President for the Humanities, Professor of Philosophy, and Member of the Cluster of Excellence on "Formation of Normative Orders" at the Goethe University in Frankfurt.A full schedule of the conference will be available in March on the Philosophy Department website.
