UW Philosophers Talk about the Migration Crisis - Climate Change - Professor Lauren Hartzell Nichols & Alex Lenferna

Submitted by Kate Goldyn on

Our response to the ongoing migration crisis Syria and in many other places in the world has many dimensions. One crucial question is the nature and extent of our ethical obligation to help people in need. At the University of Washington, philosophers in our department spend a lot of time thinking about this question and would like to stimulate discussion about this important topic in its various aspects.

The fifth in the series discussions will examine climate change and is led by Professor Lauren Hartzell Nichols and Alex Lenferna.

How is climate justice relevant for immigration policy and considerations of responsibility to help refugees?
